Good news out of Glendora (though that fair wind could shift in a hurry): the cities public schools are dominating the East San Gabriel Valley. Even better, nearby Azusa brought up the rear, reports Caroline An at the SGVT.
Most of the schools in the 17 East San Gabriel Valley districts maintained or improved their state performance rankings, according to data released Tuesday by the California Department of Education.
Leading the way were Glendora Unified and Walnut Valley Unified school districts. At the bottom end, schools in Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bassett Unified, Covina-Valley, El Monte City, El Monte Union, Mountain View and Rowland Unified scored in the lowest 10 percent statewide.
Ouch. No doubt Robert Gonzales will be on the case.
