State of Monrovia

MONROVIA - Mayor Rob Hammond is scheduled to deliver his annual State of the City 2007 address at 7:30p.m. Tuesday at the Kirkorian Premiere Theatre, 410 S. Myrtle Ave.

This year's speech will focus on the ways in which Monrovia is managing change as construction booms and infrastructure is replaced and improved.

Hammond also will discuss city programs and initiatives during the preceding year and lay out a local agenda for 2007.

Seating at the theater is limited to an audience of 200. The mayor's talk will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. reception and followed by an 8:30 p.m. reception in the theater's mezzanine.

The State of the City is sponsored by the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce. The talk will be taped and carried on cable television channels 3 and 99 on the Time Warner system and channels 6 and 17 on the Champion Broadband system.
