First time poster long time reader. I guess I would fit Miss H's demographic.
My question is what are the implications of being fired versus a forced retirement? Are there retirement benefits or pensions that at stake, to which one man's professional scandals would undeservingly saddle Pomona's taxpayers? Or is it more a principle of honor?
I should know more of this from high school civics, but alas my public school education has yet again left me out in the cold.
Here's my question: why would someone who lives in Downtown LA take a job working in a midlevel redevelopment post in a city where one is dating the City Manager?
It was obviously going to be a conflict of interest and stink to high heaven. Why take it, unless the pay the city manager can arrange is far above anything else one could get elsewhere.
It's not like Pomona redevelopment is an interesting (or even active) place to work.
Did you ever consider that old man doug, has other young girlfrends that are po'd at him for hiring his new one...??? maybee theyare the ones after him...
