"Measure V just hysteria" -- P. Star

Shortly after Steve Lopez' LAT column appears, the Pasadena Star has a nifty op-ed of its own that makes clear it ain't just Wisteria Hysteria in the Sierra Madre anymore:

Sierra Madre, you would think from reading the papers and the political yard signs of recent years, is a hotbed of development, a place so threatened with Manhattanization that it might soon become the sixth New York City borough...But hysteria or something like it is what has ruled the day for some time in Sierra Madre. And the really crazy thing is that so far as any objective observer can tell, everyone in the town is unified against anything approaching overdevelopment.
