Comment Roundup - 4.6.07
This week has since a raft of comments worth pondering and, better yet, responding to.
Club Rumors: "He Said, He Said" in Azusa - Predictably people had something to say about the alleged sexually-charged shenanigans involving the mayor and the planning commissioner. Just one informed opinion took no pains to conceal his feelings about Mark Ades, which prompted anonymous to complain about the fact that anonymous posting is allowed on this blog, to which anonymous responded, let's focus on the debate.
For the time being, we allow anonymous posting for precisely the reason stated by the last commenter: we want people to feel they can discuss issues without worrying about retribution. In the interim, we reserve the right to remove posts that are particularly vile, offensively absurd or undermine the whole debate. If you think a post has risen to that level (or fallen to it), let us know. If the comments do end up being packed with slanderous assertions, then we'll have to resort to a login system, which should help the moderation of the debate.
If you have any thoughts, on the latest in Azusa, weigh in.
Smug Angelenos Snub Foothill Cities - Jill had a charitable response to the indy-city haters: "Beauty and love and human connection and pain and suffering and diversity and sharing are everywhere, and all places where people live are worthy of love." Nice of you, Jill, but we don't plan on simply letting this slight go. Our vendetta against Los Angeles has just begun.
Feel free to add your own thoughts about our neighbors to the south.
Best Comment of the Week - For the second week in a row, Aaron Proctor scores with best comment of the week for his words in response to Round III of the Battle with Los Angeles. The arch-commenter said, "I'm challenging Villaragosa to a no-holds barred steel cage match. Loser shaves his head."
Who are we kidding? AP would dominate.
Good Friday, Sierra Madre - Finally, Provident 360 offered these words on Good Friday. "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. - Good Friday"
Good Friday, indeed. We wish you all a happy and Holy Easter.

You folks crack me up! This is a great blog.
This blog does indeed rule. If it were a newspaper, I wouldn't be able to put it down.
And my inspiration for Proctor-Villaragosa was from the recent Vince McMahon-Donald Trump "match" at Wrestlemania. Yeah, I'm a huge wrestling fan.
