La Verne Uses State $ for Good
The first post I put up on La Verne mentioned that "their police department was recently awarded a '$10,000 grant ... from the state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control' that 'will pay for an upcoming sting of city businesses' and help ensure no one is selling alcohol to minors."
Janise Johnson reported recently in the DB: "Four stores and bars in the city were cited Tuesday after they sold liquor to an 18-year-old decoy who was working for police." Good work, guys.
