More on Miller Land Dealings

Resistance to Congressman Gary Miller's proposed Rancho Cucamonga development grows, according to Jason Newell's Daily Bulletin article. I'm not sure what people want Miller to do in this situation. If he proposes a development, people claim he is trying to get the city to buy the land, since some environmentalists complain about building high-end housing in the area. Is he supposed to do nothing with the land? And if taxpayers do want to buy the land in order to prevent development, is that unfair? Is that Miller's fault? Is he supposed to just sit on the property that he rightfully owns?

Not that Miller seems completely innocent when it comes to such dealings in the past. More on Miller and his past dealings with Monrovia here and here.
